Student Tech Fund Referendum Renewal Group

About RReG

The STF Referendum Renewal Group is a student-led group established in Fall 2019 that has been exploring the impact of the Student Tech Fund (funded by the Student Tech Fee) to inform a decision on whether or not to advocate for the fee's renewal. RReG has decided to advocate in favor of a modified Student Tech Fee which will be voted on by students on the ASUC ballot on April 5-7 2021.

In March 2021, the ASUC Senate passed resolution 065 endorsing of the STF and placement of the STF renewal referendum on the ballot in the April 2021 elections. The resolution was uncontested on the Senate floor and had sponsorship from nearly half of the Senate. The GA also passed a resolution to have the fee's renewal placed on the ballot with resolution 2102E.
